[Updated] CL&P: 100% of Windsor Without Power
Alfred has left nearly 3,000 CL&P customers without power.

Update, Sun., 10 a.m.
100 percent of Windsor is without power, according to Connecticut Light & Power's outage map. That's all 13,120 households and businesses. CL&P reported Sunday morning during a news conference that outages across the state have exceeded 700,000, and residents could be without power for longer than one week.
CL&P's outage map reports the number to be closer to 800,000 at 770,044.

CL&P's outage map reports that 96 percent of customers in Windsor are without power. That' more than 12,000 households.

Statewide, outages have reached 548,000; 44 percent of CL&P customers.
Update, Sat., 5:12 p.m.
Connecticut Light & Power has opened its Emergency Operations Center in Berlin to deal with "heavy, wet snow on trees causing problems across the state," the company announced Saturday evening.
Over 200 line and tree crews "are currently working to restore power to customers affected by the outages and the company is in the process of securing additional help," CL&P said.
An estimate for when power will be restored will be available when storm damage is assesed, CL&P reported.

While Winter Storm Alfred has just begun to sweep through town, it's already taken a toll on Windsor.
According to Connecticut Light & Power's outage map, 21 percent of customers in town have lost power. That's nearly 3,000 of Windsor's 13,000 customers.
Across the state, more than 150,000 customers (12 percent) have lost power as of 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
Unlike when Tropical Storm Irene passed through, Windsor has faired worse than neighboring towns thus far.
Bloomfield and Hartford have just over 1,500 customers without power combined. Only 66 customers in Windsor Locks are in the dark. East Granby and Granby have fewer than 500 customers out, combined. Similarly East Windsor and South Windsor, combined, have fewer than 500 customers without power.
