CREC School In Windsor One Of Six State Finalists In STEM Competition
Each state finalist has a chance of becoming one of three national winners that will each unlock $100,000 for their school.

WINDSOR, CT — A Capital Region Education Council (CREC) high school based in Windsor is one of six Connecticut public schools chosen as finalists in the 15th annual Samsung Solve for Tomorrow STEM competition.
Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is a national competition designed to empower students in grades 6-12 to unleash the power of STEM to create innovative solutions addressing critical issues in their local communities.
The Academy of Aerospace and Engineering in Windsor is among the half-dozen Connecticut finalists. Others from the Nutmeg State are:

- Henry Abbott Technical High School, Danbury
- Farmington High School
- Killingly Intermediate School
- Ponus Ridge Middle School, Norwalk
- Westhill High School, Stamford
Each state finalist will win a $2,500 technology prize pack for their school. They are now on the path toward becoming one of three national winners that will each unlock $100,000 for their school.
