Connecticut Daughters of the American Revolution Receive CARES Act Humanities Relief Grant
Lebanon, CT-- The Connecticut Daughters of the American Revolution (CTDAR) and Christy Anderson Hendrie, State Regent, are grateful for the CARES Act Humanities relief grant they have received.
The grant was distributed through the Connecticut Humanities, a non-profit affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. CTDAR received $2,500 for the Governor Jonathan Trumbull House Museum. The Connecticut Daughters of the American Revolution will use these funds to help cover utility costs at the Governor Jonathan Trumbull House, a National Landmark, located in Lebanon, CT, designated on the National Historic Register as the birthplace of John Trumbull, America’s Patriot Artist.
The funds are provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act to preserve jobs and help support organizations negatively impacted by the Covid-19 Pandemic. CTDAR is one of 56 state organizations to receive operating support grants totaling $415,000.
