Flooding Causes Some Temporary Road Closures In Windsor
Water levels of the Connecticut River continue to rise, causing some hazardous flooding areas.

WINDSOR, CT — Connecticut River levels are continuing to rise and are causing flooding in certain areas of Windsor, prompting town officials to temporarily close several roadways and trails.
- Pleasant Street under the railroad bridge
- Batchelder Road beginning at Mechanic Street
- Brian T. Griffin River Trail
- East Barber Street Trail
Anyone encountering any flooded areas while driving is asked to turn around and find another route. Just six inches of water can reach the bottom of most passenger cars, causing loss of control and possible stalling, according to officials.
