'Open Fangs' Holds Fundraiser to Attend Dance Competition
"Open Fangs" invites the community to take part an upcoming fundraiser to help the team participate in an upcoming competition.

On Sunday, February 14th, 2016 the Open Dance team, “Open Fangs” from USA Wildcats in Windsor achieved one of their biggest goals in Atlanta, Georgia where they competed at Cheersport Nationals and earned a bid to the 2016 Dance Worlds held in Orlando, Florida Saturday, April 23 - Monday, April 25, 2016.
The United States All Star Federation (USASF) hosts two competitions a year - The Cheerleading Worlds™ and The Dance Worlds™. The event producers of premier championships sponsor their best teams to compete at these international competitions. Cheer and dance teams from all over the world may qualify to compete. The Open Fangs will proudly represent their sponsor, Cheersport Nationals.

The team has been in existence for several years and this year’s team is made up of ten members, six new members and four returning. They are coached by Julie Ansart, Marcel Jennings and Tristen Beckford. This will be Open Fang’s second time competing on the Worlds stage, a prestigious honor that the team takes very seriously. They will spend the next several weeks increasing the difficulty in their routine and working diligently to ensure that the team is ready for the stiff competition they will face in Florida.
In addition to their rigorous practices the team will also be making time to host a few fundraisers to offset the costs associated with getting the team to Disney for the competition. The first event will be held on March 10th starting at 4 p.m. at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant located at 12 Mall Street, Springfield, Massachusetts. The team will be distributing flyers prior to the event and the restaurant will donate 10% of every order when the flyer is presented with the order.

The next event is a joint fundraiser with their younger counterparts, the Youth Fangs, as they raise funds to go towards their competition at the Dance Summit, which takes place the weekend after Worlds. The Youth Fangs and Open Fangs teams invite you to join them at a Luau Pool Party being held at Healthtrax, 3 Weymouth Rd, Enfield CT on Friday March 11 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a night of swimming, pizza and good company.
The following day, March 12th, the Fangs will be out in force once again, this time hosting a bottle and can drive from 8 a.m. -12 p.m. at the USA Wildcats gym located at 436 Hayden Station, Windsor. For donations of 2 large bags full of bottles/can donations the team is willing to arrange for pick up if needed.
The USA Wildcats hope you can show your support by attending any (or all) of the fundraisers listed above. Cash donations are always welcome and appreciated.
