Outstanding Accomplishments By College Students From Windsor

College of the Holy Cross, Worcester MA

• Windsor residents Lily Borowiec, Delaney Collyer and Rachel Smith were among more than 1,600 students named to the College of the Holy Cross' Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2023-24 academic year.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• More than 800 Eastern Connecticut State University students graduated in the 2023-24 academic year, which culminated with two commencement ceremonies this May at the conclusion of the spring 2023 semester. The University's undergraduate ceremony occurred May 14 at the XL Center in Hartford, CT, and the graduate-level ceremony occurred May 11 on Eastern's campus. Among the graduates were Windsor residents Annika Christopherson, Master of Science in early childhood education; Frank Corbett, Bachelor of Arts in English; Julie Fontaine, Bachelor of Science in sport & leisure management; Kaitlin Gervais, Bachelor of Arts in art; and Maya Lumia, Bachelor of Science in environmental earth science.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

• Eight students from Windsor earned President's List honors for the spring 2024 semester. The President's List recognizes a select group of students reaching the highest level of academic standing. To be placed on the President's List, students must maintain a GPA of at least a 3.75 and receive grades of C or better. Local honorees were Dylan Barnett, Xavier Berrios, Shivani Bhatt, Samuel Francis, Nokhalia Gordon, Rachel Keene. Rochelle Robinson and Lauren Seals.
• A total of 10 Windsor residents earned spots on the Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester. They were Sarah Laporto, Isaiah Clarke, Ayanna Douglas, Gabrielle Floyd, Emily Greydanus, Mekhi Hall, Frank Kula, Shyanne Ogilvie, Mackenzie Shea and D'Ahzja White. The Dean's List recognizes students achieving superior academic standing. The requirement, with some exceptions based on school or college, is a grade point average of at least 3.0 and no grade below C.

University of Saint Joseph, West Hartford CT

• USJ has announced the undergraduate students who earned their way to the Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester. Students from Windsor on the list are Rachel Acevedo Gabin, Vanessa Cortez, Lyndsey Irizarry, Rhys Mendoza Villa, Daniela Rivera, Jade Robinson, Carmen Siaca and Anthonia Tucker. Students were awarded this academic achievement for having earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the semester, with no grade lower than a "B."
