Project Delta Delivers Comfort Bears To Help Windsor Kids During Difficult Calls

New donation equips Windsor first responders with tools to support kids in traumatic situations, officials say.

WINDSOR, CT — The Windsor Fire Marshal’s Office received its first shipment of Project Delta comfort bears on Monday, the department said in a social media post.

Project Delta, based in Braintree, MA, supplies stuffed animals to police, fire, and EMS agencies so first responders can offer comfort to children experiencing traumatic or crisis situations.

Town officials thanked Project Delta representatives Jon Hinthorne and Jay Rockne for personally delivering the first batch of bears and for their ongoing work supporting emergency responders.
