Special Olympics to Host Annual Winter Games this Weekend

Events will take place at Eversource, Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort

Special Olympics Connecticut will hold its 2022 Winter Games presented by Eversource on Saturday, February 26th and Sunday, February 27th. Athletes of all abilities will compete in cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at Eversource in Windsor (1985 Blue Hills Ave Ext) on Saturday, where they'll race upon snow created by a dedicated team of Eversource volunteers. They'll also compete in alpine skiing and snowboarding at Powder Ridge Mountain Park and Resort in Middlefield (99 Powder Hill Road) both days. As indoor practices were suspended due to Covid, floor hockey competition at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford has been postponed to Saturday, March 12th.
