Tree Removal Work To Impact Late-Night Traffic From Windsor To Airport
The Department of Transportation will be removing dead and diseased trees from alongside Route 20 for about two months, beginning Thursday.

WINDSOR-WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — An operation to remove dead, diseased and decaying trees on Route 20 from Windsor to Bradley International Airport will begin Thursday, and is expected to impact late-night traffic for about two months.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is also removing trees and vegetation that have grown into the clear zone, which is the safety space along the side of the roadway.
The work is expected to be completed by Friday, Nov. 8, according to the CTDOT.

Motorists can expect ramp and lane closures on Route 20 from Interstate 91 in Windsor to the airport during the hours of 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Friday. Traffic control signing patterns will guide drivers through the work zone, according to the CTDOT.
Drivers should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions, and are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in the area. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.
