Windsor Ace Hardware Invites Community to Saturday, Nov. 15 Fundraiser for Windsor Food & Fuel Bank

$5 Contribution Gets Donors a 5-Gallon Pail and 20 Percent Off Almost Anything That Fits in It! Everyone is invited!

With the start of the holiday season just weeks away, a longtime, community-minded Windsor Center business is again encouraging area residents to step up and come assist those in town who can use some help during these challenging times.

On Saturday, November 15th between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., Windsor Ace Hardware at 296 Broad St. will host its annual Fall fundraiser for the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank, an event that also offers donors a shopping discount inside the store that same day. Anyone who comes and contributes at least $5 gets a 5-gallon utility bucket, along with 20 percent off on almost anything in the store that fits in it.

“We invite everyone in our community to stop by on November 15th to support the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank and its work to support local residents who need extra food assistance right now,” explains Scott Hoffman, owner of Windsor Ace Hardware. “Since many people are looking for ways to share a little ‘giving spirit’ locally and help others this time of year, we hope to raise many dollars and lots of public awareness for this important hometown effort.” For more information about the November 15th fundraiser, call Windsor Ace Hardware at 860-688-8373.

To assist residents affected by the federal government shutdown, Windsor Social Services with the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank has created a resource page at windsorct.gov/930 that will provide the latest updates on benefit availability, local and statewide food programs, and ways for residents to access assistance. This page will be updated regularly by Social Services staff as new information becomes available.
