Incredibly, Robinson left organized bowling to play basketball, but he started bowling seriously again just two years ago, his obituary reads.

Despite the organized bowling layoff, he quickly rose through the ranks of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) and was able to qualify for professional status.

Voted the 2025 Connecticut Bowler of the Year, he was a leading candidate to become rookie of the year on the PBA tour, according to his obituary.

"Kendall with a bowling ball was like Picasso with a paint brush; his form, energy, tenacity, and confidence were flawless," reads his obituary.

According to a state police accident report released Sept. 14, a 2009 Acura being driven by Robinson was traveling east on I-691 in Southington on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Police said the Acura then veered across all eastbound travel lanes, the center grass median, and into I-691 west travel lanes.

While on I-691 west, the Acura slammed into a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck being driven by a 37-year-old Prospect woman.

The Prospect woman and an occupant of the pickup, a 67-year-old Prospect man, suffered "minor" injuries and were taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, according to police.

A passenger in the Acura, a 24-year-old Windsor resident, was taken to St. Mary's with a minor injury, police said.

Robinson, however, suffered a "suspected serious injury" at the time and was taken to St. Mary's, according to police.
