Woman, 20, Killed In Crash On I-91 In Windsor, ID Released: State PD

WINDSOR, CT — An East Hartford woman was killed in a motorcycle crash on I-91 on Saturday evening, state police said.

A 2007 Yamaha YZF600R driven by a Manchester resident was traveling on the I-91 southbound exit 35A off-ramp around 5 p.m.

"For an unknown reason, Vehicle 1 veered into the left shoulder and collided with the metal beam guardrail in the left shoulder. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 were separated from Vehicle 1 during the collision sequence," state police said in an accident summary. "Vehicle 1 came to an uncontrolled final rest in the left shoulder of the Interstate 91 Southbound exit 35A off-ramp."

The operator suffered minor injuries, but the passenger, Valerie Ann Easton, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.

The crash is under investigation. Any witnesses to the crash are asked to call state police at 860-534-1098.
