2 Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On I-84: Police

MIDDLEBURY, CT — A Waterbury woman and a Woodbury man were killed overnight in a wrong-way crash in Middlebury, according to police.

The incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday on eastbound Interstate 84, west of Exit 17, police said, and resulted in fatal injuries to 22-year-old Leticia Dourado and 45-year-old Matthew Lean Marquis.

Marquis was traveling west in the eastbound lanes when his 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS struck the 2010 Toyota Prius that Dourado was driving head-on, according to police.
