Campaign Notebook: Conservative Gay Group Endorses McMahon

GOProud, the conservative gay group that endorsed Mitt Romney, announced on Friday that it also endorsing Linda McMahon, according to BuzzFeed.

Executive Director Jimmy LaSalvia said in a statement that McMahon "not only has the private sector experience," but also "a plan that will help grow the economy, create jobs, and end our disastrous dependence on foreign oil."

Christopher R. Barron, chief strategist for GOProud, added that McMahon is ideal because she is "Washington-outsider" who can "create jobs and grow businesses."

Former state Department of Consumer Protection Commissioner Jerry Farrell Jr. told the Hartford Courant last week that State Sen. Andrew Roraback is the one to beat in the upcoming election because of his experience, the Republican Party's endorsement and his significant polictical and social network.
