Tools for Parenting the Resistant and Defiant Child: A Group for Parents Who Have Tried EVERYTHING

Waterbury, CT – Wellspring Counseling Services is offering a nine-week group for parents and caregivers who struggle with the difficult behaviors of the children in their care. The series begins October 23, 2018 and will be held Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall at Walnut Hill Community Church, 274 Bunker Hill Avenue, Waterbury, Connecticut.
Therapists Kathy Dowling, LMFT and Jennifer Rocher, will lead this group in a family-centered approach to parenting children with challenging behaviors. Facilitated discussion and workbooks, along with group support, will guide participants in learning to respond rather than react to their children.

Participation is limited to residents of: Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Cheshire, Goshen, Litchfield, Middlebury, Morris, Naugatuck, New Milford, Oxford, Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Thomaston, Warren Washington, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott and Woodbury. Special thanks to the Healthy Communities Fund of the Connecticut Community Foundation for supporting this program for the second consecutive year.
