Sandy Hook Shooting Victim's Possessions Lost In Middlebury Flood

The family of one of the children killed in the Sandy Hook school shooting lost most of their possessions in the Aug. 18 flood in Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY, CT — A family in Middlebury whose daughter was one of the children killed in the Sandy Hook school shooting lost most of their possessions in the August 18 flood, according to media reports.

Nelba Marquez-Greene told News 12 that most of daughter Ana Grace's belongings were destroyed when the creek behind her parents' home left their home underwater.

"We are looking at probably losses of about $100,000 or more," she said in an interview broadcast Wednesday.

Marquez-Greene told WTNH that she told state leaders she is counting on them to help with relief and speed up insurance payments.

Ana Grace Marquez-Greene was one of the 20 children and six adults killed by shooter Adam Lanza in Newtown died at Sandy Hook Elementary on Dec. 14, 2012.
