Woodbury Pastor Facing Meth-Dealing Charges Arrested Again: Police

A former Woodbury pastor who was arrested earlier this month on drug-dealing charges was arrested again Monday, according to police.

WOODBURY, CT — A Woodbury pastor who is accused of dealing crystal meth was arrested again recently, according to state police.

Herbert Miller, 63, was charged with first-degree failure to appear.

Police spotted Miller riding in the passenger seat of a U-Haul truck on Main Street North in Woodbury on Monday at about 3 p.m. There was a warrant out for his arrest after he failed to appear in Waterbury Superior Court.

He was arrested and unable to post $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, according to police.

Previously, Miller was fired from his role as a pastor for Woodbury United Methodist Church after he was charged with dealing meth and other crimes earlier this month. The church hired him in July.

State police said Miller was driving on Feb. 9 with a suspended license and without insurance.

Police said they found Miller had crystal methamphetamine in both rock form and liquefied into a hypodermic needle for injection.

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, use of drug paraphernalia, and motor vehicle charges.
