Anthony Omeire, 34, of Newark, is accused of going to the girl's father's home and forcing her to have sex with him, police said.

NEWARK, DE — A Delaware man is facing rape charges after authorities say he forced an 11-year-old girl to have sex with him after sending her sexually explicit Snapchat messages.
Anthony Omeire, 34, of Newark, was arrested July 20 and charged with two counts of first-degree rape after Newark police said he raped the girl at her father's home. Police also said Omeire sent the girl several sexual messages on Snapchat over a period of two months.
Police launched an investigation in June 2022 after they were contacted by the girl's mother, who told authorities she discovered the Snapchat messages.

During the investigation, police said they learned Omeire and the girl's mother were acquainted and had met once at a local restaurant. The two had not been in contact with each other since, authorities said.
Omeire then located the girl's Snapchat account and sent her a series of sexual messages to the victim, police said. Omeire then went to the home of the mother’s ex-husband, where the victim was staying, and forced her to have sex with him, according to authorities.
