NEWARK, DE — University of Delaware police are investigating a sexual assault on campus that happened in an Uber driver's vehicle, according to authorities.
According to police, the assault happened Sunday morning in the parking lot of Redding Residence Hall on the University of Delaware campus. Police did not provide any information on the victim or a possible suspect.
In a statement, University of Delaware police said they are committed to helping victims of sexual assault. Anyone who has experienced sexual misconduct or assault of any kind can contact the university's Sexual Offense Support program, which provides crisis support and victim advocacy.
