Daughter Of Diplomat Stabs Boy At Georgetown Private School: Police

The 12-year-old daughter of a German diplomat has been accused of stabbing a 13-year-old boy at the British International School.

GEORGETOWN, DC — A 13-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times near a private school in Georgetown Tuesday afternoon, police said. A 12-year-old female, who is the daughter of a German diplomat, has been identified as the suspect.

At about 12:50 p.m., police responded to the British International School of Washington at 2001 Wisconsin Ave. NW for the report of a stabbing. Officers located the juvenile male with non-life threatening injuries and transported him to Children's National Medical Center, police said.

Police say the female was not arrested at this time because of her "diplomatic status." The Washington Post has identified the suspect as the daughter of a German Embassy staff member.

"Detectives will be consulting with the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia as well as the US State Department regarding potential criminal charges," a police statement reads.
