DC Man Arrested On 32 Charges For Vehicle Break-Ins, Larcenies: FCPD
A DC man was arrested for a series of vehicle break-ins and larcenies across Fairfax County between May and November, according to police.

RESTON, VA — A District man is facing 32 charges in connection to a series of vehicle break-ins and larcenies that took place from May to November across Fairfax County, according to authorities.
With the help of the Fairfax County Police Department's Auto Crime Enforcement Unit, detectives identified 30-year-old Tyrell Ewings of Washington, D.C. as a suspect in a vehicle tampering incident and theft that occurred May 31 in 13600 block of Dulles Technology Drive in the McNair, according to the incident report.
Following further investigation, police linked Ewings to similar incidents at several locations around the county that occurred between May 31 and Nov. 22, the report says.

On Dec. 16, police in Washington, D.C. arrested Ewings on similar charges, according to the report. Following a Dec. 21 extradition, he was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charge with 10 counts of vehicle trespass, seven counts of credit card fraud, four counts of card larceny, three counts of ID theft, three counts of larceny by false pretense, two counts of attempted vehicle trespass, two counts of petit larceny, and grand larceny. He is being held on no bond. He was then held without bond.
Ewing was arraigned Dec. 22 in Fairfax County General District Court and had a bond hearing on Dec. 23, according to court records. He has preliminary hearings scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 2, 2026 and 2 p.m., on March 16, 2026. He remains in custody at the ADC.

In addition, Ewing is scheduled to appear in general district court at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 13, 2026 for failing to appear for an April 22 hearing, according to court documents. Ewing was arrested on Oct. 11, 2024 on a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny in connection to Sept. 9, 2023 incident.
