4-Year-Old Safe After Amber Alert But Mother Killed, Father Arrested: Reports
The girl's mother had obtained multiple domestic violence restraining orders against the child's father, reports said.
TAMARAC, FL — A 4-year-old girl reported missing out of Tamarac was found Sunday after authorities issued an Amber Alert about her disappearance, but her mother was shot dead and her father was arrested, according to reports.
Shortly before 11 a.m., law enforcement located Seraphina Gingles and 43-year-old Nathan Gingles, authorities said. The Amber Alert was shared on social media by officials around 10:30 a.m.
The girl was abducted from her mother’s home by her father, whose vehicle deputies found at a Walmart in North Lauderdale, according to the Miami Herald, which reported that her mother, 34-year-old Mary Gingles, was located killed in a residence in the 5800 block of Plum Bay Parkway. Media reports at various points throughout the day Sunday mentioned a man fatally shot in the area.

Seraphina Gingles had been living with her mother during her parents' divorce and her mother had obtained multiple domestic violence restraining orders against her father, the newspaper reported.
Nathan Gingles was arrested and charged with violating a no-contact injunction, according to WPLG.
