FL Gunman Shot 5, Killed 2 Before Dying In Police Shooting

A man was accused of shooting four people, killing two, and injuring a deputy after a suspected robbery Friday in Florida.

SUWANNEE COUNTY, FL — A suspect is dead after being accused of shooting five people, including a Suwannee County deputy, and killing two people Friday.

The Suwannee County Sheriff's Office said the accused shooter first shot four people during a suspected Gadsen County robbery before shooting the Suwannee deputy and firing at another deputy.

The deputy who was shot was in stable condition at a hospital, authorities said.

The suspect was shot and killed after shooting at more law-enforcement officers, authorities said. He was not identified, nor were the victims identified.

Early Friday morning, authorities asked residents in the areas of US 90 West, east of 129th Road and north of US 90 to shelter in place due to the incident.
