FL Man Gored By Bison At Yellowstone National Park
The Florida man was accused of getting too close to a bison at Yellowstone National Park, leading to the bison goring him.
MAMMOTH HOT SPRINGS, WY – A Cape Coral man was recently gored by a bison while at Yellowstone National Park, a first this year, the National Park Service said Wednesday.
The man suffered minor injuries after the run-in with the bison around 3:15 p.m. Sunday in the park's Lake Village area, park officials said. The man got too close to the bison, they added.
He was treated by emergency medical personnel, and the incident is being investigated, park officials said.

This was the first time a bison injured a person this year, park officials said. Two people were injured in 2024 and one person in 2023, park officials said.
They warned visitors that Yellowstone wildlife can be dangerous. Officials offered tips for handling wild animals.
