While Florida has experienced little to no significant fraud going back to the 2020 elections, the party-switching has become a potential fraudulent issue, particularly in South Florida.

The Miami Herald has continued to investigate the problem and published a recent story titled “Deception at the Door,” with a headline stating: ‘That is fraud.’ GOP registered more than 100 voters as Republicans without their consent.”

Taddeo’s March 7 letter mentions incidents of changing party affiliations to Republican from Miami-Dade to Hillsborough and Orange counties and surrounding counties on the I-4 corridor. The changes to voters were made by “a third-party voter registration organization without their consent,” according to the letter.

Dozens of senators and House members signed on to the letter sent to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland. Taddeo also is a candidate in the 2022 gubernatorial race.

The lawmakers are asking for an investigation of the party-switching to get “to the bottom of this fraud.”

The letter concluded: “We believe this is a crucial and urgent matter that must be dealt with swiftly to restore faith in our elections and protect the integrity of our democracy, freedom, and the rights of every eligible voter in the United States in the face of multiple attacks on voting rights across the nation.”
