In Florida, the day will come (wlrn.org) — Altamonte Springs is testing cutting-edge technology that turns reclaimed wastewater into drinking water, positioning the city to adopt potable reuse once state leaders give the go-ahead. The pureALTA pilot plant shows the water can be made biologically and chemically clean, part of a broader Central Florida push to stretch limited water supplies. Officials say the real question now is whether residents are ready to drink it.
