Aventura STEAM Academy Receives Comcast RISE Grant
Kevin Robinson, the owner of Progression's U STEAM Academy, Was Awarded $10K From Comcast To Help Empower His Business and Students

Since 2020, Comcast has awarded grants to small, minority-owned business in the area via their Comcast RISE program. With each $10,000 grant, Comcast's goal is to help strengthen and empower the local business. Of their recent winners, one is our own neighbor, Kevin Robinson!
Kevin owns Aventura’s Progression’s U STEAM Academy, which gives local kids an exciting, safe space to learn. The education center offers STEAM enrichment programs, for topics such as quantum mechanics and coding. According to the website, the STEAM academy's mission is "to mentor gifted minority middle school students for careers in high tech."
Thanks to receiving the Comcast RISE grant, Kevin's students now have access to opportunities that would not have otherwise have. In fact, thanks to this grant, Progression’s students were able to attend a recent robotics coding competition where they placed 2nd in their region!
