Prosecutors said his network of medical equipment companies worked with a telemedicine operator to obtain unnecessary prescriptions, while defense attorneys argued he acted in good faith and followed legal advice.
   

• Road rage incident leads to man paralyzed but recovering; family speaks out (wsvn.com) — A 57-year-old father shot in a road rage attack on I-95 near Ives Dairy Road was rushed to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital and is now paralyzed but in rehab. His family is raising funds for his long recovery while Florida Highway Patrol searches for the shooter, believed to be driving a lifted black Chevrolet Silverado, and Crime Stoppers is seeking anonymous tips.
   

• Miami's schedule announced for the FIFA World Cup 2026 (communitynewspapers.com) — Aventura residents now know exactly when World Cup matches will kick off at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, with seven games—including a quarterfinal and bronze final—set for summer 2026. While play is in Miami, the coverage specifically includes Aventura among the communities served, giving locals plenty of time to plan tickets, travel, and watch parties close to home.
