$1 Million Prize Awarded To Riverview Woman For Scratch-Off Game

RIVERVIEW, FL — A $50 investment in a Florida lottery game for a Riverview woman paid off big time when she claimed a $1 million prize Thursday.

The Florida Lottery announced that Jeanne Salvant, 38, won $1 million from the 500X The Cash scratch-off game. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.

Salvant purchased her winning ticket from Publix at 13154 U.S. 301 S in Riverview. Publix will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.

500X The Cash features a top prize of $25 million—the largest ever offered on a Florida scratch-off game—and the best odds to become an instant millionaire. The game's overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.50.
