Affordable Housing Complex Approved By County Commission In Riverview
The Hillsborough County Board of County Commission has approved $6.2 million in funding to build a 116-unit affordable housing complex.
RIVERVIEW, FL — The Hillsborough County Board of County Commission has approved $6.2 million in funding to build a 116-unit affordable housing apartment complex in Riverview.
All units will be rented at below-market rates to residents making 80 percent or less of the area’s median income. About $4.7 million of the cost will come from the county’s Local Affordable Housing Fund and $1.5 million from the State Housing Initiative Program.
The complex will be built at Mathog Road and Gibsonton Drive and owned and operated by Fulham Terrace Ltd.

Hillsborough County has prioritized addressing affordable housing issues, investing more than $54 million into the community in 2021, directly impacting more than 24,300 households.
The programs and services funded by the county focus on creating new affordable housing opportunities, training for residents to further their careers in order to afford home ownership, and infrastructure improvements that enhance the communities around them.
