Bloomingdale High School Student Killed In Shooting At Halloween Party

The sheriff's office said gunfire erupted during an argument and a teen girl was shot and killed. Another teen, a boy, survived being shot.

THONOTOSASSA, FL — A Bloomingdale High School student has died following a shooting at a Halloween party in Thonotosassa.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a call at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday of a shooting in the 9000 block of Harney Road.

Once on the scene, deputies discovered a teen boy with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he's in stable condition.

Deputies also received a report of another shooting victim, a teen girl, at a nearby Petrol Mart, 11511 U.S. 301. She was taken to the hospital where she died.

Detectives learned an argument took place at the house party and gunfire erupted. It's unclear if the shooter knew the two victims, said the sheriff's office.
