Deputies: Truck Involved In Fatal Hit-And-Run Found

The owner of the truck is being interviewed by detectives.

TAMPA, FL - Hillsborough sheriff’s detectives have found the truck that authorities believe was involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash earlier this week. The owner of the truck is being interviewed by detectives.

Mostafa Mohammed Abdalla, 19, of 7123 Kingsbury Court, was struck by a vehicle and killed while walking on Orient Road, just north of Hanna Avenue between the hours of 4 p.m. on Oct. 29 and 2:38 a.m. on Oct. 30.

Detectives described the vehicle as a green Dodge Ram truck based on parts found at the scene. The vehicle was missing its passenger mirror.

Based on anonymous tips, detectives located a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck parked behind a residence in Hillsborough County. The truck has been seized and taken to the Crime Scene Section for processing.
