Drinking Water Facility Locations Proposed By County
Hillsborough County residents have been invited to participate in virtual meetings to provide feedback about a future water facility.
BLOOMINGDALE — RIVERVIEW, FL—Hillsborough County Public Utilities invites local residents to participate in a virtual meeting this month that will introduce plans for the proposed location of a drinking water facility.
The facility may be a drinking water treatment plant or a drinking water transmission station, located between Balm Riverview Road and Balm Boyette Road, county officials said.
Starting Tuesday, residents can watch a project overview video, review location details and participate in the public engagement at HCFLGov.net/HCEngage.

The last day for public comment is Nov. 23.
The community’s feedback during the public engagement period will help determine the future site for the new drinking water facility, which will help meet short-and long-term drinking water service demands in the urban service area, officials said.

While construction of the new drinking water facility isn’t scheduled to start until 2026, the planned water facility is one of several projects being designed to improve drinking water service and increase water capacity.
