Lithia Man, 81, Killed While Riding Tractor
A crash on Lithia Pinecrest Road has claimed the life of an 81-year-old man, who was riding a tractor.

LITHIA, FL — As the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office investigates a fatal Monday crash on Lithia Pinecrest Road, deputies have released some information. Authorities say Robert Gene Glaze, 81, was killed when the tractor he was operating was rear-ended.
Sheriff's deputies say Glaze was heading westbound on Lithia Pinecrest Road, near George Smith Road, at 12:30 p.m. May 22. Deputies say Glaze's tractor was going about 15 mph as Leo Frank Harrison, 54, of Ft. Meade approached him from behind.
Harrison, an email from the sheriff's office said, was driving his Ford F150 "approximately 60-70 mph" when he hit the rear of the tractor with the front of his truck.

Glaze was thrown from the tractor. Deputies say he died at the scene. Harrison was not injured in the crash, the email noted.
Charges are pending the outcome of the sheriff's office investigation. No further information is being released at this time.

The crash closed a stretch of Lithia Pinecrest Road for a time Monday afternoon.
