RIVERVIEW, FL — A seriously ill man had the opportunity to see his daughter get married in person despite being hospitalized in Riverview, according to a news release.
Timothy Chicoine of Gibsonton, a patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital-South, didn’t want to miss his daughter’s wedding despite being ill.
So his daughter, Danielle Chicoine, and her now-husband, Steven Davis, wed in the hospital’s chapel before a crowd of family members — including her father, the guest of honor — friends and hospital staff.

The happy couple agreed.
"When we asked about doing this, we expected something small, maybe in her Dad's room with a couple of people, but this was incredible," Davis said.
Danielle said she was “speechless” when she found out about what the hospital was planning.
"The whole hospital got involved,” she said. “I'm more than grateful for what was done."
