Hillsborough County Library Reaches Milestone With Two Million eBook Checkouts For Year
Two years in a row, area libraries have reached a milestone of library visitors checking out more than a million eBooks.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Two million eBooks have been checked out from the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative so far in 2021, a news release said.
The library reached the milestone June 15, staff said. Library patrons also borrowed 2 million eBooks, audiobooks and digital magazines in 2020.
"Readers are turning to the library’s digital collection for their information and entertainment in part because of the ease and convenience of the libraries’ online platforms," staff said. Customers can access digital titles from their homes through the Libby app and OverDrive.
