Leaven Brewing Moving Toward To-Go Platform During COVID-19

Leaven Brewing, a popular local brewery in Riverview, released a statement this evening about how they will approach Coronavirus (COVID-19). The brewery will move customers towards ready-to-go crowlers starting on Wednesday, March 18th.

"3.5 million barrels of beer were sold directly to consumers at brewery taprooms" in 2019, according to Brewbound. The way breweries navigate the loss of weekly pub business will be the key to survival as the COVID-19 virus makes its way through the economy and society. Consumers can support their local businesses in ways such as these crowlers.

Statement:

"After the most recent advisory from the CDC and the president, we’ve decided to make the call. We know you’ve been on this rollercoaster ride with us, so instead of staying buckled in, let’s just get off here. While we’re evaluating the ‘next move’ we’ve decided that the current move is to begin TO-GO BEER ONLY 3PM-7PM daily starting Wednesday, March 18th. The tap room will be CLOSED through the end of March, unless we hear news otherwise.

We’ll have crowlers ready to go, and a beer menu posted online each day for additional fills.As stated in our previous post, we are so gosh darn thankful for this community. We’re feeling positive that this too shall pass, and in the mean time we’re going to get you as much crowler’d beer as we can. Drop by, grab a can, say hello to our friendly bartenders. Oh, and no worries the boys will still be brewing, which means plenty of beer waiting for you when we get back to normal. Take care of yourselves and your families. We’ll be here thinkin’ bout ya!"
