Libraries Distribute Laptops, Data Plans In Wimauma, Town 'N' Country
Hillsborough County Libraries are making it easier for families with limited or no internet access to get online at home.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL —Hillsborough County Libraries are making it easier for families with limited or no internet access to get online at home with the Library Laptops for Families program.
In June, Tampa-Hillsborough Public Libraries is adding two new distribution sites in Wimauma and Town 'N Country as the county lends out a limited number of Chromebook laptop computers with data plans to families.
The public library system was awarded a grant through the Emergency Connectivity Fund program to offer the Chromebooks. The goal is to provide families with access to school support and job skills information. The computers include an unlimited data plan available until Dec. 31.
