Man Stabbed Family Member To Death: Hillsborough County Sheriff

RUSKIN, FL — A man was arrested for fatally stabbing a family member after an argument Sunday afternoon in Ruskin, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Juan Rodríguez Ramírez, 20, was charged with second-degree murder with a weapon.

Deputies responded to the 700 block of 21st Avenue SE just before 1 p.m. When they arrived, they found the victim with stab wounds to the upper body, the sheriff's office said.

The victim, who hasn't been publicly named, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators learned that there had been an argument that escalated to Ramirez intentionally stabbing the victim.

"It is profoundly disheartening that what began as a disagreement between family members has tragically resulted in the irreplaceable loss of a life," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "Violence is never a solution, and now, the suspect will now have to face the severe consequences of his actions.”
