Man Wanted For Shooting At Truck With 2 Kids Inside: Deputies

BLOOMINGDALE — RIVERVIEW, FL — A 19-year-old man is wanted for shooting inside a truck in Riverview that had two children inside mid-January, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

The suspect, Jerome James Knight got into a fight with a group of people in the parking lot of Circle K, 11606 Balm Riverview Road, on the night of Jan. 19, investigators said. A victim in the group told authorities that Knight shot his gun toward the passenger side window of a pick-up truck where the victim's two young children sat in the back seat.

No one was injured during the shooting, investigators said.

"We are asking anyone who has seen Jerome James Knight to please come forward," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "This teen's reckless and violent behavior put two innocent children at risk
of losing their lives. Please do not engage if you see him, for he is likely armed. Instead, call us immediately."
