RIVERVIEW, FL — A resident in the Pleasant Living mobile home community off U.S. 301 in Riverview has died and the resident's dog is missing after a fire tore through a mobile home early Friday morning.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue received multiple 911 calls from neighbors on Indian Drive around 3:25 a.m. reporting a mobile home fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters with Engine 16 arrived and used hand hoses to protect the two nearby mobile homes from the extreme radiant heat while awaiting additional fire units to help extinguish the blaze, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

It took more than an hour to douse the fire, officials said. There were no nearby fire hydrants in the mobile home park so a water tanker had to be brought in to provide water.
The fire investigations unit is still investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
