Bloomingdale Road Rage Shooting Victim Identified
A man is dead following a road rage shooting on Bloomingdale Avenue Friday evening.

BLOOMINGDALE, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent road rage shooting on Bloomingdale Avenue that left one man dead Friday evening.
According to the agency, a call about shots fired came in at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 14. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found Kenneth Michael Cuevas, 27, of Riverview injured. Cuevas was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but died from his injuries.
"The shooting appears to be the result of a road rage incident that occurred on Bloomingdale Avenue near Kings," the sheriff's office wrote in an email to media. "The two vehicles were stopped in traffic when the individual that is now deceased got out of his vehicle and walked back to the shooter's vehicle."

Deputies say words were exchanged between the two motorists and shots were fired. The shooter pulled off the roadway and waited for law enforcement, the email noted. Authorities say the shooter, who is not being identified at this time, is cooperating with law enforcement.
"It appears that the two individuals had an earlier road rage incident just moments prior to the second incident/shooting," the email noted.

Deputies are continuing to interview witnesses. No further information is being released at this time.
