Reward Offered in 2015 Shooting of Riverview Mother of 4

Information that leads to an arrest in a 2015 Riverview shooting case could be worth $3,000.

RIVERVIEW, FL — A Riverview woman shot after answering her front door in the early morning hours of Aug. 29, 2015, has recovered from her injuries, but arrests in the case have never been made. As Hillsborough County Sheriff’s detectives continue to search for leads, Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is renewing its reward offer.

According to Crime Stoppers, anyone who has information about the identity of the suspect or suspects may be eligible to receive up to $3,000.

The case in question unfolded in the 12900 block of Fennway Ridge Drive just before 12:30 that August morning. Angela Morales, 37 at the time, was home with her husband and twin 9-year-old son and daughter, the sheriff’s office said in 2015.

When Morales heard knocks on her front door, she answered. When the door opened, “there were multiple shots fired, striking the victim multiple times,” the sheriff’s office said.

The suspect or suspect took off in what is believed to be a four-door dark sedan. The sheriff’s office said in 2015 that two different type of weapon casings were recovered from the scene, indicating the possibility of more than one shooter.
