Missing Riverview Teen Found
A Riverview teen reported missing on Saturday has been found safe.

RIVERVIEW, FL — Update May 14, 2:45 p.m.: The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reports that Alex Baumgarten has been found safe. A homeowner on Fairlawn Drive spotted the boy walking through yards in the neighborhood Sunday afternoon and notified authorities.
The sheriff's office intends to interview the 13-year-old to find out more about the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. Further information is not yet available.
Earlier: The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents for help to locate a 13-year-old boy who left his Riverview home on Saturday and hasn’t been seen since.

Authorities say Alex Baumgarten got into an argument with his parents and took off around 4 p.m. May 13 from his Lake Lucaya Drive home. Alex took his dachshund with him, an email from the sheriff’s office noted.
“Alex is diagnosed with depression and is on medication,” the sheriff’s office said. The boy is considered missing and endangered.

Alex stands 5-foot-3 and weighs an estimated 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, navy blue basketball shorts and black sneakers.
Anyone who has seen Alex or who knows where he might be is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 813-247-8200.
