RIVERVIEW, FL — Fire crews battled a blaze at a Riverview scrapyard Tuesday afternoon, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue wrote in a Facebook post.

Emergency dispatchers began receiving multiple calls about the fire at 8012 78th Street around 2:20 p.m.

Engine 1, the first arriving unit, reported heavy flames and smoke billowing from several semi-trailers in the yard, HCFR said.

It took crews about 30 minutes to contain the fire. There were no injuries.

The fire was accidental and caused by sparks from metalwork, the agency said.
