Tractor-Trailer Truck Crash Spills Fuel, Closes I-75 Near Gibsonton

GIBSONTON, FL — On Tuesday at 12:35 p.m., a tractor-trailer was traveling northbound on Interstate 75 near the 250 Milepost when the driver lost control of the vehicle, jackknifed and collided with a barrier wall.

The driver's injuries were not life-threatening.

The crash resulted in a significant fuel leak and all northbound lanes are closed. All traffic is being diverted onto Gibsonton Drive. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate northbound travel routes.
