FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — A teenager visiting Florida during spring break attacked Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen and a woman outside the Four Seasons Hotel in Fort Lauderdale on Monday, according to multiple reports.

Max Hartley, 19, of Avon, Ohio, is accused of attacking Allen while the musician was standing outside the hotel smoking a cigarette, according to ABC News.

The attack happened a day after Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe played at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Hartley knocked Allen over, causing the 59-year-old to hit his head on the ground. When an unidentified woman came over to help, the teen knocked her over, as well, the Miami Herald reported.

Allen lost his left arm in a car accident in 1984.

When the woman tried to go to the lobby for help, the spring-breaker dragged her out of the hotel, reports said.

The suspect ran to a nearby hotel, breaking car windows there until witnesses stopped him, WSVN reported.

“I was sitting out front,” one 911 caller said, according to reports. “This guy, I caught him throwing chairs inside our establishment, and then he ran.”

A caller also described Hartley as “very highly intoxicated,” WPTV said.

He’s been charged with neglect or abuse of an elderly person, four counts of criminal mischief, and two counts of battery, court records show.
