Home Health Scam Targeting South FL Seniors Shut Down: AG

Christopher Kydes and his company Senior America Home Care Inc. charged seniors thousands for home health services, AG Moody's office says.

TALLAHASSEE, FL — The Florida Attorney General has shut down a scam targeting south Florida seniors, according to a press release.

Christopher Kydes and his company Senior America Home Care Inc. charged seniors thousands for home health services they never received, according to Attorney General Ashley Moody's office. Close to 50 seniors were duped by the scheme, and gave Kydes and his company almost half a million dollars.

Kydes and the company are banned from owning a home-health business or engaging in any in-home sales ever again.

The AG's office filed a complaint against Kydes in 2018. According to this complaint, money taken from the seniors was used for personal expenses, such as Kydes' mortgage.
