The comments were traced back to Schoonmaker, who was suspended by Twitch for violating the platform’s terms of service, Boca Post reported.
Detectives with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spoke with Schoonmaker, who said he didn’t mean the comments and was drunk when he made them, reports said. He also told investigators that he was depressed and wanted to take his own life.
He was charged with making a written threat to conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism.
