1 Dead in Bradenton Shooting

Bradenton Police say a Thursday morning shooting has left one man dead while another faces charges.

BRADENTON, FL — An argument between two men took a deadly turn Thursday morning, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Officers say Derrick Bernard Frazier and Dequan Randolph got into a dispute in the 1100 block of 5th Street West some time before 6:17 a.m. Nov. 3. At some point during the argument, Frazier is accused of pulling out a gun and shooting Randolph in the neck.

Police say when they arrived they found Randolph on the ground, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

After the shooting, police say Frazier fled the area in a white Ford pickup truck. Officers caught up with him in the 400 block of 1st Street West, an email from the agency said.

Frazier, 32, was brought into custody without incident. Police have not yet released the charges he is facing.

Randolph’s death is the second homicide to have occurred within the Bradenton city limits since 2016 began.

No further information in the shooting is being released at this time.
